Greenpeace has released its initial ratings for 2020 candidates’ climate change plans, and although the list is incomplete due to some plans not being released yet (and some campaigns not being included), looks like they like what Jay Inslee, Bernie Sanders, and Cory Booker are bringing to the table.
Williamson-mentum!!! After a new Monmouth poll put support for spirituality guru Marianne Williamson at 1 percent, she’s all but assured a spot in the first Democratic debate in June, Politico reported. Also notable: Cory Booker is also at 1 percent, and Kirsten Gillibrand came in below that.
This is a disheartening take from Booker which falls back on reactionary framing. Sanders’ whole point is that everyone in prison should have their voting rights restored—even those we view as the worst of them—in a country where we lock up black and brown people at stunningly disproportionate rates.
