West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, who always complains about being in the Senate, has reportedly decided to stay put rather than make a bid for a second stint as West Virginia governor, which he has said is the “best job in the world.” Congratulations to him on his continued faux-unhappiness.
That’s our Joe.
The Senate voted on the Green New Deal today, a transparent stunt by Mitch McConnell. Most Democrats voted “present,” but three (Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and Doug Jones) voted against it, along with Maine independent Angus King. The Democratic right, it seems, has no use for party unity.
