A federal judge in California temporarily blocked Donald Trump’s order to end the DACA program on Tuesday. For Jirayut Latthivongskorn, a DACA recipient and plaintiff in one of the lawsuits challenging Trump’s order, the ruling is a sign of more good things to come.

“We must not forget the victory that this is, no matter how temporary it may be,” Latthivongskorn said in an interview.

While this ruling may not be a permanent solution, DACA recipients, activists and allies hope that it will buy them more time while they pressure Congress to pass a comprehensive and clean DREAM Act.
