According to Pew research and everyone with eyes, our "millennial" generation is more likely to have a tattoo than any other generation. I think that's rad. Every Tuesday I'll be posting my favorite themed tattoos from all over the interwebs. This week's batch of ink is all about calories:
Pop Tart Tattoo
When I think of Pop Tarts, I think of 2 things: 1) almost burning the house down by putting the little foil packet in the microwave, and 2) the '90s. Back then, commercials always boasted about "complete breakfasts" (complete with orange juice, milk, a piece of fruit, and some toast). The food choices seemed a little absurd and carb-heavy, but I was always pumped when my mom would buy the Brown Sugar Cinnamon variety of these toaster pockets anyway. Unfortunately the BSC Pop Tarts aren't all that beautiful to behold, so I'm down with the use of the sprinkled strawberry kind in this ink.
Oreo stays winning with seemingly endless flavor varieties (cotton candy is on the horizon, y'all) and endless dunk-ability. This ode to the Nabisco fave is patently sweet.
I don't know for sure if the illuminati is a real thing, but if you get pizza upon joining, it seems like it could be pretty cool. 'Za is always a good idea, even permanently on your skin.
Though nacho experiences vary based on the cheese-to-corn-chip ratio, this snack deserves the full amore treatment. I might put on a ring on it. Not ruling it out.
I suck at chopsticks, but I love sushi anyway. Maybe not as much as this guy, but still enough to have it in my favorites on GrubHub.
Leslie Knope, is that you? I thought it impossible to love waffles so much that you have it permanently etched upon your outer layer, but maybe I'm just bad at commitment. Either way this is making me hungry — for fish, or waffles, or both.
Keeping with the overwhelming popularity of b-fast ink, here's a super cute Simpsons-esque donut tat. God love it.
I'm here for this. I am so so so here for this. Ice cream is my absolute fave and the detail on the cone is so precious. With this endless winter destroying my soul, this ice cream has renewed my hope for an eventual summer.
For those who are a *touch* noncommittal, here are some temporary options for you:
Pizza: 2 for $5
This tattoo is so cute. It makes me long for the days of sleepovers and stick-on earrings. ::sigh::
Sushi: 6 pieces for $5
Cute, little, discreet. I'm super into tiny baby ear tattoos to compliment your 800 earrings.
Burger Tat: 2 for $5
Perhaps you desperately want a burger and fries but you also desperately want to maintain your health goals. There's a tat for that.
Vegetarian Carrot Tat: 2 for $5
I don't know about you, but my vegetable devotion isn't as strong as my cheese one. Maybe you're into it. IDK. If you like em, wear em.
Die Hard Veggie-Fan Set: 8 for $15
Are you aggressively vegan? Do you stan for root vegetables? Then this set is definitely for you. Earn some street creed for the next time you wander the farmer's market looking for organic, in-season produce.
