If you’ve spent any time on the Internet lately you probably know about Minions. If you need a refresher, Minions are, well, minions, of the evil, lovable protagonist in Despicable Me. The minions were such a hit, that they are now the stars of the upcoming film Minions, and the subject of national discourse:

So it’s not totally surprising that the minions craze collided, fiercely, with another monster trend: lip-synching. Lip-synching transcended girl sleepovers and entered the televised main stream with Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync battle and the subsequent Lip Sync Battle show. And, of course, there’s an app called Dubsmash, which everyone from teens to Bollywood stars is using to mouth along with songs and phrases. And, a very specific corner of the Internet is using it in tandem with this:


That corner being app-savvy kids who love minions:

Which is a much-needed reminder that minions are for children.

Though, there are also some Vine users who combined Dubsmash and Minion in an unexpected, nearly NSFW way:
