Kealoha was supposed to be a scientist but after studying Applied Nuclear Physics at MIT, he had a change of heart and dedicated his life to slam poetry. He was appointed the first Poet Laureate of Hawai`i in 2012, so it is fitting that one of his most beloved pieces meshes the evolution story with a more beautiful framework.
