This Hillary Clinton interview is one of the most cringeworthy things to happen in 2016

Although she is leading in the polls two weeks out from Election Day, Hillary Clinton isn’t giving Donald Trump an inch on the campaign trail, and kicked off her 69th birthday on Wednesday for another interview on “The Breakfast Club” radio show.

Clinton had a lot of young, hip, relatable things to say during the interview with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and special guest Stevie Wonder. Most of them are so cringeworthy that I groaned out loud.

Here are just a few of the best (worst?) topics that the former secretary of state tackled on the air.

On that Death Row Records meme:

After Charlamagne asked Clinton, “Do you look at the memes?” she confirmed she does look at “some of them.” Then Charlamagne asked about the biggest meme of the last presidential debate.

“Was that on purpose? Are you a fan of Death Row Records?” he asked.

Clinton broke into uproarious laughter before responding: “I think Death Row and a lot of other fashion sources have influenced my look, don’t you?”

Hmmmmmm.

On being fun

“I keep telling people I want to close the deficit. One of the deficits I want to close is the fun deficit. I’m sick of all this meanness,” Clinton cracked in a totally organic, very joking way.

“Why don’t these people who support my opponent go out and dance?” she suggested. “I think we need a big national dance.”

On being a fair weather Cubs fan:

Clinton reminisced about watching the Cubs play as a young girl, calling them “my National League team.”

But she eventually got sick of them losing all the time: “I said, you know, you’ve gotta get a winning team.”

“So I said, the Yankees always win. So I’ll be depressed about the Cubs and I’ll be happy about the Yankees. That’s how I balanced it out.”

On dancing

“I love to dance. Period,” Clinton told the hosts. “And so any chance I get, I will dance, I’m not sure that it would be anything that you’d say is good dancing.”

But you won’t catch her doing the robot: “I don’t do the robot stuff. But I love to dance.”

If elected, Clinton could add another first to her list of accomplishments: the first president to make memes an issue on the campaign trail. Let’s just hope she leaves them at the doors of the White House.
