This pre-K teacher's aide got busted for writing an insanely racist Facebook post

An employee working for the Rochester, NY, public school district has been fired after having written a mind bogglingly offensive Facebook post featuring racial epithets, vulgarity, and bigoted stereotypes.

The woman, identified by the Democrat and Chronicle as Cassandra Sutton, had been contracted through the TES Staffing agency as a substitute pre-K paraprofessional at the Children’s School of Rochester. She’d begun working at the school this fall, after spending last year working at Lincoln Park School 44. While her Facebook profile appears to have been locked, or taken down, screenshots of Sutton’s offensive post have begun circulating online.

“Caught a nigger!!” Sutton wrote in one, adding, “Ahem, I mean decent African american male armed & hiding behind the shed in my neighbors back yard.”

“Hmmm,” she later mused. “I wonder why I don’t ever see white males committing crimes on my street.”

After commenting on having caught “hood rat niggers” attempting to burgle her neighbors vehicle, Sutton ended her screed by telling readers “#IfYouroffendedSuchABagofDicks” and “#BlackPeopleAreFineNiggersArentBIGDifference.”

Problematic spelling and grammar (especially for a teacher) aside, Sutton’s racist comments garnered a swift and unforgiving response from school officials.

“She was immediately terminated as soon as we saw the posting,” Principal Jay Piper told the D&C. “We pride ourselves on our diversity. They were very offensive and hurtful remarks.” A representative from TES also confirmed to the paper that Sutton was no longer employed at their staffing agency.

Sutton did not return requests from the media for comment.

“The school district informed TES that this person should not report on Monday and will not be allowed to work in any district school in the future,” the Rochester City School District said in a statement provided to WXXI News “Comments like the ones posted are unacceptable and will not be tolerated by anyone who works with District students.”

According to the most recent data from the Department of Education, from the 2013–2014 school year, more than one-third of the Children’s School of Rochester’s nearly 300 students were black.
