This Republican congressman just took Trump’s ‘nasty woman’ insult a whole step further

Latest

A Donald Trump-loving Republican congressman on Thursday insisted that his candidate of choice was totally correct to put Hillary Clinton in her place as a “nasty woman” during the final presidential debate, saying, “sometimes a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty.”

During a radio appearance on the Alan Colmes Show, which was first flagged by CNN, Rep. Brian Babin (R–TX) said, “You know what, she’s saying some nasty things,” when the host asked if that label for Clinton was appropriate.

When Colmes again asked about the remarks, Babin tried to shrug off criticism by saying, “Well, I’m a genteel Southerner, Alan.”

“So that means no?” Colmes pressed.

“No, I think sometimes a lady needs to be told when she’s being nasty,” Babin responded.

The former secretary of state “has got so much baggage,” the lawmaker said, adding, “I think she’s done some nasty things.”

After Trump interrupted Clinton’s response about Social Security during Wednesday night’s debate to call her “such a nasty woman,” women on the internet immediately reclaimed the jeer as a compliment coming from one of the most nasty men currently in the public eye.
