Trump Announces He's Pardoning Irredeemable Asshole Dinesh D'Souza

President Donald Trump on Thursday dished out some potentially good news for right-wing grifter Dinesh D’Souza, who pleaded guilty in 2014 to using illegal straw donors to contribute to a New York State Senate campaign: He’s getting pardoned.

A former policy adviser to President Ronald Reagan, D’Souza is now best known for packing conspiracy-fueled polemics about the Democratic Party and the media’s shared plot to destroy America into books and documentaries. His Twitter feed is a cross-section of trolling pro-Trump memes; you may also recall how he mocked survivors of the Parkland shooting a few months back.

D’Souza is often labeled as a “convicted felon” in news stories—a descriptor I never totally got. Felons are capable of redemption. D’Souza, on the other hand, will always be an asshole.
