An unnamed hero changed the name of Trump Tower to "Dump Tower" on Google Maps at some point Saturday, an act which feels like it will likely be punishable by waterboarding once Trump takes office.
This act of online activism has not been commented on by the president-elect, though being the voracious Twitter user that he is, it's more than likely he's seen some of the hundreds of tweets from angry Trump supporters calling for Google to be shut down, among other things.
A buzzkill Google employee told New York local TV news station PIX II, "Some inappropriate names were surfacing in Google Maps that should not be, and we apologize for any offense this may have caused. Our teams immediately took action and have fixed the issue." Indeed, searching for Trump Tower—or nearby Trump International Hotel, which also had its name changed—now brings up the given names of the buildings.
