USC and UCF students prepare for football game with Yik Yak compliment battle

But the University of South Carolina and University of Central Florida are taking their rivalry to new levels of weird, with students from the two schools engaging in an ongoing battle of compliments on the anonymous social media platform Yik Yak.

The exchange of pleasantries currently dominates both the USC and UCF feeds in advance of their football showdown this Saturday afternoon. It's not entirely clear how the compliment battle started, but the two schools seem to have embraced the new method of trash-talking.

Many of the top-voted compliments seem genuinely nice, from a very college-flavored perspective.
