To his illustrious résumé, which includes roles in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” and the “Even Stevens” franchise, Shia LaBeouf can now add “bizarre freestyle rapper.”

A video of LaBeouf freestyling surfaced on Facebook today. The actor, who was shirtless and sporting a rat-tail, appeared to be trying to impress a group of young people with his rhymes. But the overall effect was that of a bad Burning Man performance art piece. (Sample line: “It don’t make no sense but I still get it like I got it, though. / Rockin’ like a novice but I’m rockin’ like a rocket, though.”) LaBeouf, who has previously puzzled onlookers with his avant-garde poetry, may want to stick to scripted performances.
