According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the baby boomer generation, our parents, are using more illicit drugs now than at any other time in the last 20 years. The study didn't posit any reasons why.
Equally surprising is the 2.1 percent drop in use for 12- to 17-year-olds. So while the youngsters are straightening themselves out, our parents are kicking back and tripping out.
Who knows, maybe this is just a weird phase or a midlife crisis? They'll snap out of it soon, right?
