The Black Panthers, a social organization, are so comfortable handling guns in public facilities that in 1967 they walked right onto the floor of the California state legislature, armed. Today’s Oath Keepers militia members owe them a debt of inspiration!
The lawmakers of their day were so impressed with the Panthers’ totally legal action that they quickly passed a bill outlawing the public carrying of loaded firearms.
The Black Panthers are the answer to the Republican desire for armed vigilantes and the Democratic desire to find the answer to the question, “How the hell do we convince Republicans to pass a gun control law?”
