White Chicago cop refers to black colleagues as 'fucking n**gers'

If this exchange between Chicago police officers is any indication, the Department of Justice’s current investigation into the city’s police force for civil rights violations is more than necessary.

Over the weekend, an unnamed, white officer incorrectly thought that he’d been summoned by a police dispatcher.

When he asked the dispatcher why he was being pinged she responded: “No, boo, it’s too early to be bothering you. Good morning.” Other officers chimed into the conversation, joshing each other about their personal lives.

“How many boyfriends you have,” one officer asks the dispatcher, jokingly.

“Why you all up in my Kool-Aid,” the dispatcher retorts.

After a few seconds of radio silence, the initial officer voices his displeasure with the conversation, calling his colleagues “typical fucking niggers.”

The dispatcher immediately asked her colleagues who the bigoted cop was, and now there are calls in the city for his firing.

“We want to know their districts, and we are demanding that the mayor immediately fire the officers who made the comments,” Will Calloway, a local civil rights activist told The Daily Beast. “Not launch an investigation, not put them on desk duty with pay. We want these officers off the streets immediately.”

For context, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel fired former police superintendent Garry McCarthy last year in the wake of protests for the killing of Laquan McDonald, a black man who was shot by a white police officer.

“This is ridiculous,” Calloway said. “We want him gone.”
