World Champion of All Time Takes Harvard Acceptance Letter as Her Prom Date

Prom season is over. Minnesota teen Priscilla Samey has shut it the heck down. And no, this isn’t because of some overdramatic yet somehow underwhelming promposal. (Sorry teens, but covering a car in sticky notes that spell out “Prom?” is just plain dangerous. Chicken nugget promposals are acceptable, I suppose, except in this horrific instance.) This is just pure prom gold.

Last week Samey posted the only image the internet has ever needed:

Okay, there are so many things going on here. First, given that there can be so much pressure to find a date for prom, this is a perfect example of the power of going solo. Second, the Kyemah McEntyre-style African print dress is gorgeous. And third, it should be known that Harvard was not Samey’s only prom option. That’s right, Samey, the first generation daughter of West African immigrants, was accepted to SEVEN Ivy League schools, along with eight other schools. This is perhaps the most iconic, important picture on the internet.
