You absolutely have to hear this cover of Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood'
LatestAlessia Cara is 18 years of pure greatness. The singer-songwriter whose first single, “Here,” was released this May, has the music world buzzing about her warbling voice and brilliant covers.
Earlier this week, she covered The Weekend’s “Can’t Feel My Face” on Ryan Seacrest, bringing it to a new, soulful level. She one-upped herself quickly, though, with a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Cara kills not only Taylor’s wailing in the bridge — she makes Kendrick’s raps incredibly melodic. Adding a new perspective is what makes a great cover song.
If there’s a young pop star to watch right now, it’s certainly Cara. If we had our way, “Here” would be the song of the summer.
