Actress Mareli Miniutti Reportedly Files Restraining Order Against Michael Avenatti

The woman who filed a domestic violence restraining order against lawyer candidate Michael Avenatti was actress Mareli Miniutti, The Blast reports. The revelation apparently came from court documents obtained by the website.

Avenatti was arrested in Los Angeles last week on domestic violence charges. The woman who called the police, at first named by TMZ as Avenatti’s ex-wife, was later listed by the website as simply “a woman.”

Miniutti is an Estonian actress who has appeared in movies including Oceans Eight.

Avenatti became a central figure in the #resistance as the lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels, who was found to have taken hush money from President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen. Avenatti has suggested multiple times that he will run for president as a Democrat in 2020, even after last week’s arrest.

On Twitter, Avenatti denied the claims made in The Blast’s report.

Last week, he tweeted similar denials of any abusive behavior, implying that disgraced conspiracy theorist Jacob Wohl was the source of the charges. There’s no evidence connecting Wohl to Avenatti’s arrest.
